The civil law Private Family Foundation is becoming increasingly important with several common law jurisdictions actively working towards enacting their foundation legislation. Cyprus is a former English Colony, is at the forefront of following UK Law as in the absence of Cypriot Common Law the Courts follow English Law. All cases and legislation in Corporate matters have been precedents of UK law with very few exceptions.

The family office concept, private trust companies, cell companies and limited partnerships are adapted to fulfil specific roles and offer more planning options for private clients.
